You want to fundraise for your favorite nonprofit by becoming a peer-to-peer participant -- good for you! Here's how you can easily do just that:
1. Find your nonprofits peer-to-peer campaign.
If it's set up to be peer-to-peer, it'll have a little section that looks like this:
2. Click "become a participant" and fill out your contact information:
*if you already have a Donaide account and are signed in, this step will be bypassed.
3. Check "participate as an individual"
4. Choose to join a team or create team.
You can either "join a team" that has already been created - or - you can create your own, customized team* by selecting "create a team":
*you can only create a team if the organization has this capability turned on.
5. Upload your profile photo
Why? Because it helps give your campaign page more personality, be more engaging, and therefore raise more money for the nonprofit you care about.
It doesn't even have to be a headshot! It could be a picture of your beloved dog, a smiley face, a bitmoji, or the outdoors -- seriously whatever you want!
6. Create your donation goal
This can be whatever your heart desires! Then click "join team"
7. Login to your Donaide account
Once this is complete, you will receive a few confirmation emails. 1 confirming your new Donaide account (so you can manage your page and giving) and 1 confirming your peer-to-peer request.
In either of these emails you can either "complete profile":
Or "get started" to set your password and login:
8. Edit/manage your peer-to-peer page
If you went the "Get Started" route in your email, you will automatically get sent to your peer-to-peer edit!
Otherwise, you can click the icon (your face or whatever photo you uploaded) in the upper right corner:
And click "View Your Profile"
Once here, you can head to the "Your Peer-to-Peer Pages" tab:
And click the "edit page" button to the right:
You can then edit your page content, photos, goal, and view your page (and get your unique link!) from here:
You are now all set to fundraise and make a real impact.
